Timberwolves Crush Nuggets, Take 2-0 Series Lead

Anthony Edwards Receives MVP Chants in Denver As T-Wolves Dominate Game 2

The Minnesota Timberwolves opened up a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals. The Timberwolves throttled the Nuggets 106-80 without Rudy Gobert Monday night and now own a 6-0 record in the playoffs and a 2-0 lead in.

The Timberwolves used a dominant run bridging the first and second quarters to take control. Leading 18-17, the Timberwolves proceeded to go on a 20-2 run to take a 38-19 lead. The Nuggets never recovered, and the Timberwolves cruised to a victory.

Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while D'Angelo Russell chipped in 17 points.

The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jamal Murray added 17 points, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Nuggets from falling to 4-2 in the playoffs.

The Timberwolves and Nuggets meet again tonight in Game 3 of the series. The Timberwolves will be looking to take a stranglehold on the series, while the Nuggets will be looking to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole.
